What legacy are you laying down, how impactful is your life?
Recently, I had a profound experience that made me ponder these questions.
While traveling few weeks ago, I boarded a public bus and noticed a prominent Man of God (MOG) dedicated to promoting Holy Living and advocating for Purity for Singles (SONDA).
As people recognized him, they greeted him with respect and admiration. What struck me was the influence he had on those around him.
When the bus departed, a man accompanying him began preaching the gospel, and for the first time, I saw people responding with "Amen" and attentively listening to the word of God.
What struck me was that even if people may not have been initially receptive to the message, the humility and grace exhibited by this man, whose life has been a blessing to many, softened their hearts and minds to receive the word. His legacy of holy living and service to others had prepared the soil for the seed of the gospel to take root.
This encounter made me reflect on my own life and legacy.
Am I living a life that inspires others to seek God? Am I laying a foundation of love, kindness, and compassion that will outlast me? How blessed am I to be a blessing to others?.
As I continued on my journey, I realized that our lives are like ripples on a pond, touching the lives of those around us in ways we may never fully know.
The MOG's legacy was not just in his words, but in his actions, his character, and his unwavering commitment to his faith. He was a living testament to the power of a life dedicated to serving God and others.
As I thought deeper, I realized that our legacy is not just about what we achieve or accomplish, but about the lives we touch and the hearts we inspire. It's about the love we share, the kindness we show, and the hope we bring to others.
Live a life that is a reflection of God's love, a life that is a blessing to others, and a life that leaves a lasting legacy of faith, hope, and love.
